What to Expect

Join us for a week of photography paradise on the incerdible Lofoten Islands, Norway. This tour will consist of six nights, self catering accommodation. We will have two cabins, this will ensure everyone has their own room. The cabins are right in the heart of the much loved and picturesque village of Hamnoy. These famous red cabins are at the heart of everything Lofoten has to offer, all you need do is step outside the door and be greeted by some of the best photo compositions in the world. This accommodation is extremely cosy, clean, has amazing cooking facilities, its spacious and has very fast wifi.

A deposit of €650 is required to secure your place on this trip. Remaining balance must be paid no later than 5 weeks prior to the start date of the trip. Once you book, I will email you my bank details to pay off the remaining balance in your own time.

Please be at Leknes Airport no later than 10.30pm on January 26th.

There will be NO SET itinerary for this trip as I prefer to keep a close eye on weather forecasts throughout the tour to determine our destination and make sure we have the best possible weather that may suit a specific place. In my experience of spending time on the Lofoten Islands, we always took it one day at a time as we were keeping tabs on the weather, chasing the light not the locations.

Transportation

Please be at Leknes Airport no later than 10.30pm on the 26th of January 2023.

From here you will be transported throughout the tour in a comfortable, spacious 9 seater bus starting and finishing at Leknes airport. We will aim to fly out of Leknes on the night of February 2nd.

Weather

The weather on Lofoten tends to have freezing temperatures and snow around the the end of January. From my eleven previous trip to Lofoten, we got the most amazing light during the day and then to top it all off, most nights we were out shooting the Northern lights with some EPIC displays. It is very possible we will experience some clear night skies so there is a great chance of some Northern lights with some amazing foreground interest. This promises to be an amazing week of photography in a truly picture perfect part of the world. We hope to see you there…

Learnings

You will also learn the use of sunrise, sunset & astro planning apps.
