What to Expect
Join us for a week of photography paradise on the incredible Senja Island, Norway. This tour will consist of six nights, self catering shared accommodation, right in the wilderness of Senja with no light pollution and amazing compositions on our doorstep. The house consists of 5 bedrooms, so single occupancy is guaranteed as we keep the group small, the house is as cosy as you can get with warm heating, a big wood burning stove with unlimited fuel supply. It also consists of two bathrooms, two shower rooms, full cooking facilities, wifi, satellite TV and a cosy living room. Outside in the garden, there is a wooden chalet with an amazing fire pit, which we can also cook on and beautiful seating also. There is also an option to do a one hour hike to the amazing viewpoint overlooking Segla, the most iconic view in all of Senja, you will not be disappointed! This hike is optional.
I am delighted to have renowned time-lapse and film maker, Adrien Louis Mauduit (Night Lights Films) on hand for Some guiding, stories and sharing his knowledge of the night sky and aurora, before and while we shoot, I was delighted to have Adrien on hand during our Senja 2020 tour, I’m MORE EXCITED to have him take part on our 2021 tour. A native of France, Adrien has lived on Senja for 3 years and has a vast knowledge of shooting locations in the area.
There will be NO SET itinerary for this trip as I prefer to keep a close eye on weather forecasts throughout the tour to determine our destination and make sure we have the best possible weather that may suit a specific place. In my experience of spending time on the Senja Island, we always took it one day at a time as we were keeping tabs on the weather forecast and it worked a treat. We got some great conditions including amazing sunrises and sunsets most days aswell as 4 nights of jaw dropping northern light displays.
This promises to be one of the most epic of trips on my calendar for 2021, DO NOT MISS IT.
