Another great workshop with Bernard. He worked really hard to get us to the best locations in the very changeable weather. And always ready to change plans if we found something stunning.
He has huge energy and ensures everyone feels involved. Was a great group with great craic. Highly recommended
I've just come back from another amazing trip with Bernard in Donegal. I've been on a number of trips with him now and I have to say his energy and enthusiasm for photography is infectious. He's very professional in his approach with people and wants to ensure your time with him is well spent. He will go to any lengths to ensure you are in the right location to capture the best shots. He is a master in reading the weather patterns and uses this knowledge with great accuracy. The fun and craic while on these tours is legendary. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this guy.
I will make this easy, Bernard always delivers and once again he came up trumps. We had a superb adventure on the South Coast of Iceland. The effort Bernard makes to ensure everyone gets what they had hoped for is beyond all expectations. He constantly scans weather data so that he can put you in the perfect location at the perfect time. Once again I was so glad I came home with serious shots and even better memories. This was my third trip with Bernard and was once again amazed by his attention to detail and massive energy and enthusiasm.
This is my third workshop with BG. It just keeps getting better, No, but seriously, it is a joy to be in this guy's presence. His energy and enthusiasm for photography and the outdoors are legend at this point. He creates an atmosphere that's welcoming and fun no matter what your level. He seems to attract like-minded people on these workshops and each group has been outstanding, just such nice people. Tory Island blew my mind. I had a rotten head cold, but I still motivated myself to climb those cliffs with my pack because the scenes just take your breath away out there. Bernard knows the spots, the tides, the weather and he always seems to know just where to get you at the right moment to get interesting shots. He gives advice when you need it and steps out of your way when you don't. The truth is that you also learn with him how to make the most of what's in front of you, even if conditions aren't ideal. I always trust his judgement to keep the group safe and that's also important in such remote places. Thanks again, Bernard, for another amazing workshop.
Just returned from an incredible 2-day workshop with Bernard on Tory Island (it was even better than the first one I went to on the Dingle Peninsula). Had a fantastic time with like-minded people and made lifelong friends. Bernard's passion for photography is extraordinary and infectious! Learned so much, and explored new places I would never have dared to go to on my own, the results of which meant I came home with some of the most amazing photos I've ever taken. The early mornings were tough, but Bernard's energy kept us all going. I really can't wait for the next workshop. Thanks, Bernard!
We had a beautiful few days on Tory Island with Bernard. This was my 3rd workshop with BG so that in itself will tell you what I think! The locations he will get you to are nothing short of stunning. I’ve learned so much in terms of composition, light and general technique over the course of these trips that really it has changed the way I look at photography for the better.
Have to also mention the great people I’ve met on these tours and the laughs that were had. I couldn’t recommend them and Bernard highly enough!
I wanted to photograph dramatic cliffs and wild ocean in Ireland but I didn't know a good landscape photographer. Bernard was recommended by a good Scottish friend. What a gift it was to work with Bernard for three dramatic days. He knew exactly where to take me for the shots I was looking for and his over-the-shoulder camera setting tips were invaluable. Plus we had many an hour at the end of the day to share flat whites and wonderful stories. I've got to figure out where he is going next and how I can join him, Thanks so much, Bernard.
This has been my 4th workshop with Bernard. I think this says enough that you'll always come back for more. His ability to read the weather and he gets it right all the time. Met Éireann should take weather advice from him.
Bernard is always on hand for advice and tips no matter what level you are at. He will always make sure you get your shot. He's mad as a brush but that all adds to the trip. Don't delay book your trip. Thanks again Bernard. Great trip away.
Last weekend I went on a photo tour in Dingle. It was great!
We were lucky with the weather and spent the whole day on the beach practicing with camera settings and hunting for our star shot:)
The view was amazing.
Bernard took us to places I would never have guessed on my own. This is my second tour and like then there were nice people, good vibe, easy and relaxed atmosphere.
If you want to break out of your routine and recharge your batteries then such trips are one of the best ways.
This was the first workshop I’ve ever attended and I am delighted I finally signed up. I didn’t feel that I could attend previously as I lacked some photography equipment in my current kit, but after a quick email to Bernard he was more than happy to help and kindly gave me a loan of what I needed on the day. I was particularly impressed with his creativeness and ability to read the changing weather. He always had us in the right location and I’ve picked up an abundance of new tips that I can’t wait to try out and practice for myself. I came away from the day after learning new techniques, making new connections with other photographers and an eagerness to progress my skills further. Bernard is so approachable and no question is too big or small. He is an excellent teacher and an all round great guy!
