It is a booking requirement that ALL participants take out comprehensive travel insurance. This is totally up to you to arrange prior to any tour or workshop you may have booked. BGLT cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to baggage and personal effects. This should also be covered by your travel insurance policy.
Health:
All participants must understand that while a high level of fitness is not required, a measure of physical activity is involved in all tours. It is the responsibility of each participant to advise us prior to departure of any specific medical conditions. Some tours are at altitude and involve modest hikes. Tours frequently involve travel to remote locations during the day and night, where medical, refreshments and toilet facilities are not readily accessible and/or available.
Weather: Please remember, I cannot control the weather and every tour has its risks of bad weather. A high level of patience is required while possibly waiting for weather to clear. As I always say “If there is light to be got, I will get it for you”

The fitness levels on our workshops are varied, each trip will have its own detailed fitness level description. About 80% of our trips both in Ireland and internationally will suit any fitness level. The other 20% of trips may suit a good level of fitness.
If you book a trip needing a good level of fitness 3-12 months in advance and feel you may not be fit enough, use the time between booking the trip and when the trip commences to build up fitness levels.
Some trips will involve…

We cant control the weather, what we can do is plan as efficiently as possible while on a trip, bad weather can often bring the best conditions.
A saying I love is “When it rains, look for rainbows, when its dark, look for stars”
We pride ourselves on being at the right place at the right time, if there is light to be got, WE WILL GET IT!
Sometimes the weather can be too bad to even wait around to get a shot, which can easily be caused by an area of low pressure, in this case we will use our time to do some post processing of images we may already have got on the trip.
